Marjoram is a member of the mint family, though its sweet, spicy flavor is closer to oregano than mint. However, don’t get this herb mixed up with oregano, marjoram has a much subtler flavor and a woodsy fragrance. Sourced from Greece, marjoram pairs perfectly with grilled or braised meats. Like many herbs, marjoram has been used medicinally, often to treat minor respiratory illness including stuffy nose, coughs, and infections.
